How to be placed on the IATSE 305 Referral List

  IATSE Local 305 invites all applicants for our referral list to fill out the necessary information so we can process your application in a timely manner. Our local is open to all qualified freelancers who wish to become members or would like to have their names included on our Referral List, in accordance with the stipulations of our Constitution and Bylaws.

For over three decades the South Florida television market has grown, continuously providing broadcast coverage of varied sporting events to an ever-increasing viewership on multiple digital platforms. In recent years, the challenges to our market have been numerous, changes in ownership of the companies we work for, changes in our industry and the related technologies involved, the world-wide pandemic, an increasing cost of living, and associated costs of doing business in our field.

We, the technicians in South Florida, organized and stood together to charter the first Broadcast Television Local in South Florida...Local 305! Our mission is to provide the best technicians available to our local and visiting broadcast rights holders. We strive for a safe and positive work environment and, for our members and non members alike, to be compensated fairly for their skills with competitive wages, scheduled rate increases and benefits that are delivered thru our CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Our contract ensures things like safe work conditions for our employees, clearly defined parameters for proper compensation, and parameters for overtime and holiday pay. Our representatives have an open line of communication with our employers and this enables our crews to have a voice "at the table" when their employers make decisions.
